Hello Everyone!
I am Desmond and I have been in this shrimp hobby since 2018. I started with a planted tank initially with a few Fire Red Neocaridina shrimps but had little success keeping them. Then, I slowly began my search for answers on several online forums & websites but I still couldn't find any reliable source of information. Along the way, I met some nice local breeders & reached out to them for help. Slowly, my interest and passion for shrimps grew even more. Hence, I want to give back by sharing my experiences and to also help build this community in giving everyone the best experience.The journey begins...
2018
My first Neo Caridina shrimp tank which I named it the tank of Faith.
2019
As I begin keeping Caridina shrimps, I started to expand my tank setup as well because I wanted to keep more varieties. Different Caridina shrimp species when put together will crossbreed with each other hence if one wishes to keep the shrimp genetics pure, it is important to separate them.
2020
As I progress further into this hobby, I decided to maximise the space I have and start improving the quality of my shrimps by doing selective breeding. Selective breeding minimally requires a main breeding tank, grow out tank and also a selective tank for each species of shrimp.
2022
The year I decided to revamp my setup by fully utilizing every available space to increase even more tanks. The goal is to continue my high grade selective breeding journey for the Black Galaxy BOAs & Black Fancy Tigers to produce even more quality shrimps and share with everyone!
